By far the best Italian food in the Philadelphia area! This was my second time here, and I gotta say NOTHING beats this place. I was with a large party of 9 family members, and they treated us all like family. The meatball appetizer was to DIE FOR! There pasta and main entrees pleased everyone in my family. We all just couldn’t believe how delicious the food was. I will absolutely come here again. If you’re looking for ICONIC, and DELICIOUS food, this is the restaurant to visit. It’s a invigorating experience!

This restaurant was recommended by a local as a "good red sauce Italian place." It delivered! We had a very friendly waitress, the atmosphere was boisterous and fun, like you were with "famiglia", ya know?? Great meatballs! We'll go again the next time we're in Philly.

The food at Villa Di Roma never disappoints. This place is such a great family friendly spot, where they really treat you like family. Every time we go, we see Mary the bartender and have waitresses/waiters that are very attentive and kind. You can't go wrong with the chicken/eggplant parm, or any of their seafood dishes which are always good. The restaurant is pretty big and a bit loud but you rarely have to wait very long. Saturdays are the only days they take reservations but walking in is always an option and normally don’t have to wait for a table for very long.

Villa di Roma is a South Philly staple of great Italian food. The food is always fresh and tastes great. Highly recommend this place for great food. 5-11-25 (another great meal) Mother's Day dinner at a fabulous restaurant. One of the best in the city. Always great food. Tossed salads, grilled asparagus, then Ravioli's with their special meatballs, and a 16oz Veal Chop. Great all the way around, as usual

Such a great Italian food location. Loved my order of shrimp Alfredo, yum. Will definitely come again and bring new customers with me too.

We passed this place and thought: no. Looks like it’s frozen in time. It’s reminiscent of trattorias in Italy: no thrills, family owned. The waiting staff were incredibly friendly, check on us multiple times, kept us posted on when food was coming. I ordered the broccoli rabe and spinach to start. It was out of this world: garlicky, cooked to perfection. Something this simple can be completely messed up. The pasta dishes were also really good, apparently the chef has been cooking there for over 40 years. Honestly, this place is great, not sure why it has bad reviews.

We celebrated my sister’s birthday at this wonderful Italian restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience. As foodies who love Italian cuisine, we were impressed by the no-frills, straight-up delicious food that truly hit the mark. What made the evening even more special was the exceptional service. Debbie, our waitress, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Not only did she provide spot-on recommendations and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, but she also stepped up in a way that showed her genuine care and dedication. Her thoughtful actions during an unexpected moment of need made all the difference and left us deeply grateful. A special shoutout to Debbie for her kindness and professionalism—she truly embodies what great hospitality is all about. Additionally, the gentleman at the bar kindly took care of our birthday cake upon arrival, ensuring it stayed fresh for the celebration. We will absolutely be coming back to this gem of a restaurant. The combination of incredible food and heartfelt service makes it a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Italian dining!

Excellent food! We were a big group of 10 people but the service was competent and friendly. The bread didn’t stop, the gnocchi was delicate and fluffy, the fettuccine ricotta was covered with cheese, the lasagna was delicious and the meatballs and red sauce spaghetti was an easy choice. Prices are descent ands servings are huge. Recommend!
